Library Board

The Southeast Arkansas Regional Library is governed by a Board of Trustees composed of members of the county library boards of each county served.  Each county judge is an ex-officio member of the board.  Two members from each county board are voting members, and the Director of the Regional Library serves as the Board's Executive Secretary. The Board makes the policies of the Library and they, in turn, are administered by the Director.   The Board normally meets the second Monday of February, May, August, & November.

Board Meetings

Board meetings are normally held quarterly on the second Monday in February, May, August, & November at 10:30 a.m. (Certain Holidays may affect dates.) Board meetings are held in Drew County at the Monticello Branch Library Meeting Room. All board meetings are open to the public. Meetings will also be available via Zoom.

Those wishing to address the Board should read the Public Comment Policy. Public comment time is provided for the public to express their opinions or concerns about matters over which the Board of Trustees has authority or responsibility. Comments are intended to be statements from speakers. The board will not respond at this meeting to questions, requests for information, or requests for action. An appropriate response may be made later after board members have sufficient opportunity to consider and deliberate on the issue.

Individuals wishing to address the board must use sign-in sheet at the meeting or, sign into Zoom Meeting chat at least five minutes prior to the start of the board meeting. An individual must list his/her name, home address, and topic to be discussed.
