Program Description

Body

The Star City Library closes its Summer Reading Program 2021 on Thursday, July 21, with a stop-n-go event from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. All summer reading kids and their families are invited to visit the library to pick up their prizes and grab a hotdog lunch sponsored by the Lincoln County Judge Buddy Earnest.

Let’s celebrate a summer filled with reading and library fun. During the program closing event, kids can use their reading logs with the earned starfish to “shop” for prizes in the Library Book Nook. The Book Nook will offer a large assortment of books, toys, and surprises to choose from. Contest winners will also receive their certificates and prizes during the closing event. A prize drawing for all kids who turn in coupons from the Summer Challenges will take place before July 21 to give everybody the chance to pick up their prizes during the End-Of-Summer-Reading- Party. The prize drawing will be streamed live on the Library’s Facebook page “Star City Branch Library”. Besides the reading challenges, every kid will receive a goody bag filled with snacks and candy and some extra surprises to take home. The library’s craft & game stations will also be open for children to enjoy.
