Halloween Scavenger Hunt for Kids Now Available!
Can you find all of the Halloween monsters? Stop in during the month of October and participate in the Halloween Hunter scavenger hunt! Kids have to find all of the Halloween monsters to solve the riddle; completed hunts can be turned in for a small prize at the Main Desk.
October Take & Makes Launch October 3rd @ 1 PM
A new month means new Take & Make kits! Stop by the Dumas Library during operating hours and choose from 3 different kits! Kids and teens can create Halloween-inspired bookmarks, hanging upside-down bats, or spooky-silhouette luminaries.

Star City Branch Library was recently the recipient of a mini-grant from the Simmons First Foundation. Manager Simone Kirk accepted this grant to fund the upcoming Summer Reading Program at her branch.

MONTICELLO – The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) awarded $2,660,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to the Arkansas State Library (ASL); $2.4 million of the funds were set aside for direct aid to public libraries.

Arbor Day Celebration
The Monticello Branch took part in an Arbor Day Celebration for 2021. This took place on our grounds here at 114 West Jefferson where a Tulip Poplar was planted in honor of our Veterans.
So Much Fun!
Monticello Branch Library has had an active season so far. We began the celebrations with our 2021 Boo Walk on October 30th. There were volunteers manning 10 game stations where the children were able to play games and receive candy.
